How do pets change as they age?

As your pet ages, you can expect both subtle and obvious changes. Their bodies start to change, which means some of their internal systems are slowing down. For example, it might be harder to digest certain foods so you need to modify their diet to include more easily digestible foods or a lower calorie intake. You may also notice your furry friend moving at a slower pace than you’re used to, which means it takes them longer to move around your home or engage in activities they enjoy. Growing with your pet means adjusting your expectations of them as well as the care you provide as they age.
